2012 Retreat Postponed

It is with great sadness and yet total peace in our hearts, that Jeanette and I announce the postponement of the 2012 Texas Rubies Ladies Retreat to 

April 12-14 2013 at the same location near Waco, Latham Springs. 

Both of our families are going through medical issues and Jeanette and I both sense the Lord reminding us what it really means to embrace the high calling of motherhood and yield to His timing.

We are certain there will be some disappointed ladies and hope that you will understand our dilemma and the basis for our decision – to discern the good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). We also recently received the news that none of the girls were going to be able to come to sing or speak, so we ask you be in prayer with us that in 2013, Serene, Pearl, and Vange will be able to join us!

Prices are up

So... it was the 20th, instead of the 10th. We are both super busy. While we are trying to streamline things and routinize everything about the retreat planning process, we are also tending to a total of 15 children between the two of us. :)

Slight delay

We are working on getting prices and information to you. Please hang onto your hat for just a bit longer for us. I'm going out of town camping with my family. I hope to have that information to you on the 10th. Again, sorry for the delay.

We are back

The Lord was good to us and planning weekend is over. We are tired, but we keep moving forward with our families. Many decisions were made and we hope to divulge those in the next week or so.

Watch the website for updates to the FAQ and details regarding prices and such. We think you'll be very excited that prices only went up $10 for ladies this year - especially considering the very easy-to-get-to location!!

Planning Weekend

Ladies, we are asking for your prayers. Jeanette, Patti, and I were to be heading to Latham Springs on Friday to plan for the 2012 retreat. Patti is not going to be able to make it. She is in the middle of the horrid fires in Bastrop County. Please keep these people in your prayers. Patti shares more on her blog, here.

Jeanette, myself, and four of our children, are planning to continue on. Much has to be decided and many details planned. We would appreciate your prayers as well - for clarity, for wisdom, to be inspired, calmed and rested for the months ahead.

Thank you friend! The Lord is gracious and merciful. We are ever thankful for His continued provisions in this retreat.

2012 Theme Verse

After much prayer and discussion, the theme verse for the 2012 retreat has been finalized. We are so excited to share it with you. Please agree to pray with us as we embark upon retreat planning season. We are holding fast to His truths as all the details begin to come into place for this next year. This one will be a great reminder for us to focus on through all that our lives entail.
